Who do you work with?
We work with people planning to start a home care business in Illinois and owners of established Illinois home care agencies. We tailor the conversation to your stage, priorities and questions.
I’m starting from scratch. Can I speak with you?
Yes. You do not need to have everything figured out. The free introductory phone consult is a place to explain your idea, talk through where you are and identify which support may fit.
What is the Community Care Program?
The Community Care Program, or CCP, is administered by the Illinois Department on Aging. It supports eligible older adults with in-home and community-based services. Provider certification is a separate process from obtaining a home services agency license.
Our services
Can you help with IDPH licensing?
Yes. We provide guidance and application preparation for an Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) home services agency license. IDPH licensing and Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA) Community Care Program (CCP) provider certification are separate processes. We can help you plan for both; approval decisions remain with the state agencies.
Can you help with an existing agency?
Yes. Support includes CCP policies and procedures, IDoA survey and audit assistance, done-for-you billing, IT consulting and business consulting.
Do you handle billing for us?
Yes. We help with eCCPIS / VRFP billing for CCP services and electronic billing for Medicaid MCOs, including 837 claims and 835 payment and remittance review. We also help with rejections, corrections and payment follow-up. The scope is discussed with your agency before work begins.
Do you guarantee certification or an MCO contract?
No. We help you prepare and navigate the process. Certification, enrollment and contracting decisions are made by the relevant state agencies and payers.
Is IL Homecare Consultants a state agency?
No. IL Homecare Consultants is an independent Illinois consulting company. It is not IDoA, HFS, a Medicaid MCO or a licensing authority.
